Just read this on Bravewords.com...

Pollstar (www.pollstar.com/) is reporting that the much-hyped VAN HALEN reunion tour with DAVID LEE ROTH has already fallen through and is now "officially postponed indefinitely."

Sources tell the tour magazine that a tour announcement may have not been far off, and just last week, Rolling Stone posted excerpts from an upcoming interview with Roth about the reunion, which is slated for its next issue. The magazine's website also unveiled the first-ever group shot of the current lineup of the band, including Eddie Van Halen, his brother Alex on drums and his son Wolfgang on bass.

Sources also tell Denver's Rocky Mountain News that Van Halen's performance at next month's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony may be in jeopardy too.

Roth told Rolling Stone the band had been rehearsing together again and their chemistry is currently "combustible," though with today's news, it appears that combustion may have actually happened between Roth and the Van Halen family.

Van Halen was expected to do a full, 40 city tour this summer.

I know it's unkind and unfair, but every time I see EVH with his $25,000 guitar, homeless-person clothes and $%&#ed-up teeth, I just want him to sod off, buy a house in the country somewhere and settle down into retirement.

If this reunion tour ever happens, it's only going to tarnish the memory.

^ I dunno. I only got into them after they split up, so I'm kind of torn between seeing the cheesy, washed-out, photoshopped version, or not seeing them at all. darn.

never really got into Van Halen on the whole, i wouldnt pay money to see them.

edit: Eddie photoshop thread... best funny thread ever, on any forum :D

even better than Emo girl and Immortal guy, just a bit better than Zakk ;)

I would rather see the "atomic punks" anyday - they deliver the goods so to speak!!

Saw Van Halen with ROTH in 84 and they were OK, but not as good as they should have been - would have rather seen them in 1981

Oh that's a beaut!

Saw VH in '94 supporting Bon Jovi, before Eddie's hip replacement. He was waddling around the stage like a penguin and the whole experience was slighlty underwhelming, and I was a VH fan.

It's kind of sad what's happened to them now. It's like a bad soap opera. And Eddie now looks like the dictionary definition of 'haggard'.
