I'd say Mule's would be perfect for southern rock stuff, and the Miracle Man would be perfect for Pride & Glory stuff or anything Zakk, really. :)
Aiming in between .... My first recommendation would be Crawlers, which are hotter than vintage though keeping plenty of vintage vibe and originally voiced for the heavy 70s-style blues-rock thang. I think their midrange hump is an advantage (cuts through the mix!), but if you don't like it the Abraxas would be another good vintage-vibe-but-hotter choice. The Rebel Yells are great modern rock humbuckers .... they might work for you, but I guess it really depends on the details of what you want!
