Black Dog and Riff Raff clips
« on: July 04, 2005, 05:53:15 PM »
Hey guys.

Here's a few clips I recorded during a recent microphone comparison I did at the studio I work at.

The guitar was my Gordon Smith Graduate60 with a Black Dog in the bridge and a Riff Raff in the neck.

The amp used was a MESA Boogie Dual Rectumfrier head (set on clean) with a JCM800 Marshall 4x12 cab.

The distorted tone was produced using my EMMA ReezaFRATzitz Overdxrive/Fuzz pedal into the clean channel of the MESA.

The amp was close miked with a Rode NT2. I know this is a strange mic to use on Electric guitar, but going by the results of my comparison, it's 1 I'll use more often in the future :)

The other songs on there aren't anything to do with my using Bareknuckle pickups, but feel free to listen to them if you want to :)

Thanx Tim :D

I would just like to say that it's not actually me playing on the clips. It's my friend Joff from the studio. I was too busy running arounding changing mics and playing with the desk etc to play guitar :D
