-Fender 'Lonestar' Strat
(was Sinner/IT/IT, currently Mule/IT/IT)

-Fender 'HM' Strat
(was Mule/MM/MM, currently has an SD Pearly Gates Plus in the bridge)

Just wondering, do you like the PG Plus, or did you just take the Mule out to put in your Lonestar?

I still have the PG Plus in my Double Fat Strat, and to me it sounds horribly bright and harsh.  I'll definitely be changing it (eventually).
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Wow! Some people have lots of guitars....I don't have the space for that...and changing strings for 2000 guitars every 2 months doesn't sound like fun either  :D

Guitars I don't have anymore:
Godin G-5000
1983 Fender strat completely changed with floyd, humbuckers, extra switches 'nd stuff
Gibson les paul studio
Bass Collection 4-string bass (don't know type anymore)

Guitars I have:
Fenix stratocaster (first guitar, will never sell it!)
Musicman Silhouette Special (NB + 2x IT)
Parker Fly deluxe
Kritz Stradovarius solidbody (BKP Nailbomb set)
Gibson SG gothic w/ EMG's
Jose Rodriguez model 20 (nylon acoustic; no BKP's needed)
L'arrivee L-01 (steelstring acoustic, no BKP's needed)
MTD Heir 5 bass

Guitars in the make:
Strat with 22 frets maple neck, 9,5" maple fretboard, alder body, and the rest still to be decided later  :)

7-string mockingbird model, ash body w/maple top (well, thin top) + wenge veneer, laminated neck (maple/padouk/maple) w/ rosewood fingerboard, vintage style tremolo (not really; 2 pivoting points), sperzel tuners, BKP ceramic warpig + cold sweat, 1 tone, 2 volume controls + 3-position switch.
Nailbombs, Irish Tours, C-Warpig7, Cold Sweat7, Apaches

Forgot My future plans there, right enough...

Ideally, another strat is going to have to be bought. I'm thinking something green or blue metallic, singles all the way, vintagely styled as possible, for a set of Irish Tours.

Buy a Gibson "The Paul" off a mate of mine. Definitley one of the most under-rated instruments I've ever had in my hand. Hear it at http://www.myspace.com/jointhedeafclub

That's not me playing, right enough, but it's a lovely, lovely thing.

I'd like a doublebound Tele of some kind, and the one I was talking about with Jonathan from Feline...I will order it properly, some day!!!

Righty-o then, I own:

Patrick Eggle Vintage Classic (no hardware on it and it still needs a final buffing.  Absolutely stunbning guitar)

CSL Firebird (70's Ibanez, needs all the hardware and a bit of tlc)

Applause semi round back acoustic (string missing, still not got round to changing it)

Dodgy old strat copy that I hollowed out and turned into a thinline strat while I was drunk.  Painted in hammerite and left in pieces under a bed.  Think I've even sold the neck now.

3/4 size spanish that cost me £12 from the Argos warehouse when I worked there.  Haven't changed the strings for 8 years. Just arranged to give it to my mates kids.

Half built project guitar.  Les Paul Double Cut.  Body made (mahogany and 4A quilted maple), but I hit some dodgy wood in the headstock so the neck needs to be remade.  Not got the money to carry it on at the minute, but can hopefully start again after I've paid for the wedding.

Squire Strat which I'm borrowing as non of my guitars are playable

All through my Vox AD30VT amp.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

Woah, Mirage Deluxe?

That's the LTD M1000 or the ESP MII Custom?

I'm guessing the 2nd since you would have mentioned LTD if it was LTD like you did for your old 350, and since you can't get the M1000 in Green. If I'm right then PLEASE tell me what they're like, for the price they'd have to be orgasmic.

They are great, the green ESP was my first proper guitar, I used it for ten years.  They're so well made, not like the cheaper more recent Ltd's.

The green one is like toothpaste green, with an esp humbucker at the bridge and a power rail at the neck, the fretboard s are ebony and the hardware is solid, not like the smelted cheapy floyds you get these days.  I think they were both made towards the end of the 80's.

You see them in lots of cheesy 80's vids like whitesnakes here I go again.

They are full on rock monsters, the green one cost me £800 back in 95, but I picked the purple sunburst one of ebay for £300.  They went for nearly a grand and a half new, which is a little on the pricy side, but the quality is much better than a standard les paul say.

Just wondering, do you like the PG Plus, or did you just take the Mule out to put in your Lonestar?

I still have the PG Plus in my Double Fat Strat, and to me it sounds horribly bright and harsh.  I'll definitely be changing it (eventually).

I moved the Mule from my HM Strat to my Lonestar Strat to see how it would sound. It sounds great (much better in the alder Lonestar than basswood HM), but I haven't decided yet if I'm going to leave it there or put the Sinner back in (which also sounds great).

I put the PG Plus in the HM Strat as it was the only spare pickup I had that was the correct spacing (others are Gibson spaced). It was the original pickup in the Lonestar Strat (along with 2 Texas Specials), and actually sounds quite nice in the HM Strat (though not as nice as the Mule).

If you've got the PG Plus in the bridge you probably have a '59 in the neck (I think that was the setup on that model). I had a '59 in my Wolfgang, and thought it was a really nice pickup. If you like it, then a set of Mules may be just the ticket for you.
Sinner, Irish Tour, Mothers Milk, Trilogy, Mule, Black Dog, Mississippi Queen, Warpig

Correct, it has the PG Plus/'59 combo.  To be honest, I find both Duncans unpleasantly harsh and bright in this guitar - but then I'm not that familiar with HBs in Strats, most of my guitars are mahogany set-necks so I'm used to a much rounder tone.

I expect the Mules would be an improvement in the Strat, but I'm going to go for something really fat and warm - possibly VHIIs, more likely Crawlers, maybe even Holydivers (although they may be a bit too metal for me).

Yamaha RGX112 the SSH version (neck did a pretzel impression  )

Will list all mine seperately then aswell..

Cimar by Ibanez Strat Copy - First electric, still got it, great guitar.

Squier Standard Telecaster LE - 2nd guitar, modded as hell, BKPs, full electrics overhaul w/ 4way switching, PW locking tuners, bone nut, reverse control plate etc.

Epiphone Korina Flying V - Currently in pieces back in Aus, awaiting modding when I get back.

1986 Fender MIJ '54 Re-issue Esquire - All stock except the saddles, my #1 guitar.

1985 Fender MIJ '62 Re-issue Esquire - Stock except for brass saddles aswell.

Vester 'Tradition' Telecaster - MIK, butchered it with a LH neck, refinish, new everything, now it's an Esquire. Probably the best sounding guitar I have, very lively tone, really responsive.

"Session" Superstrat-a-like - Bought it as my first modding project, now has a blood splatter 'XXX' finish, EMG 81 pickup, scalloped frets and a new bridge. Needs a fret level to be perfect but it's great fun, super light guitar.

These ones have moved on..

Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty 3 - Was nice to look at but I never bonded with it, far too heavy.

Epiphone Gothic Explorer - Had an OFR and EMGs. Played great, looked/sounded good I just hated setting up the trem and never using it. Could get the action amazingly low though, probably the fastest playing guitar I've owned.

ESP Viper Camo Standard Series - Great guitar but always hated the finish.

1986 Fender MIJ '62 Re-issue Telecaster - Was mint, all original, sold it to fund my Takamine though. Kinda regret it but it never got played much anyway, would just be nice to still have it in the collection.

Squier Affinity Stratocaster - Bought it used planning a project but never got around to it and sold it on. Pretty good guitar for what I paid.

Squier Affinity Telecaster - Got in a trade, wanted the money at the time so I sold it on. Good value for money IMO.

Schecter PT Blackjack - Nice looking, great feeling neck but I hated the enormous frets and the SD JB bridge pickup sucked major balls.

Jackson JS10 - Got in a trade, neck was wayyy too skinny for me so I flogged it on.

Teisco-a-like weird guitar - eBayed it on a whim for like $20, had a almost 3/4 scale length and realllly unstable neck joint, was just waiting to be snapped in half so I gave it to a friend. Weird single coil pickups sounded pretty good though.

Acoustics:

Takamine EN40c - Brilliant guitar, mid 90s and well played before I got it, well played now too. Probably keep it forever, love the sound and feel. Amazing value.

Crafter TC035/N acoustic - My first proper acoustic, was great value but I just wanted to upgrade since I play so many sessions and stuff now.

No brand nylon acoustic - Got it off a friend for dead cheap, had it for ages and played some spanish stuff on it then gave it away to another mate on a whim.

Mahalo Ukulele - Bought it on a whim, pretty fun to try play guitar stuff on it, signed by Mark Morton and John Campbell from Lamb Of God .. Lol

That's all I can remember.. Massive post..
BKPs: Yardbirds.. Ex: Nailbombs
