So who's gonna be the first gay to say they suck? to be honest they really dont do they just because st anger didnt have any solo's in all the f*cking losers are like oh metallica are shite now.... ermmmm no they arent they spent about 20 years showing everyone what they can do, then just cause they want to do something alittle different and not use solo's little retards fully turn on them.... st anger was an awesome album with some great songs and heavier than ever, but i have a sneaking suspicion on the new album thats being recorded the solo's will be back and greater than ever, and then wont it be funny to see what all these people do then im thinking something like " what i love metallica i always have i never said they were shite, no not me i never said they were passed their sell by date" and to those people i say a huuuuuuuuge "F*CK YOU!!!!" metallica doesnt need your sorry asses....

cheers rant over, just something thats been bugging me for awhile  :wink:

lets see.. cr@p songs ..cr@p "singing".. half assed production. snare drum sound that makes you puke.. the list goes on.

it has some very nice riffs and cool heavy parts.. but a collection of riffs does not a good album make. it was released while in the demo stage. if they had more time.. and if they werent absolute money obsessed MORONS while making it, it might have been good.

i do wonder what the new album will be like, but i dont have any hopes for it, cos all the "new songs" as they call them, sucked so far

But there remake of the ecstasy of gold is killer . then again as i said thats a remake

But i love metallica and to be honest i loved st anger since the day i bought it

"Karaoke Kris" is totally different to a big metal band..

IMHO St Anger sucks, hate the guitar tone and the boring songs. Give me Ride the Lightning any day  :D

St Anger is rubbish.  When I bought it I played the DVD first and was totally horrified, but I thought at least the album won't sound like this.  In fact it turned out to be worse.

The lack of solos was annoying, but solos wouldn't have saved the songs from being bollocks.  A sh!t sandwich with icing on it is still a sh!t sandwich.

I can't believe they listened to that biscuit-tin drum sound and didn't realise how pathetic it is.  And Hetfield spent 20 years developing into an actual singer, then just threw it all away.  I HATE that album!  :evil:

I think the biggest problem was the writing process - all studio jams with "everyone contributing equally".  Then they forgot to write any melodies.  I hope to God this time they've gone back to the old Hetfield/Ulrich dictatorship writing style on the new album.

Metallica's "Sick of the Studio" '07 tour is supposed to be a redemtion of the St. Anger shitee. Let us all hope the Metallica of old shows up for this tour. I understand they have a new producer so they better not have any excusses.

From what i've heard of the new stuff it wasn't very impressive.

There was another one which was waaay to pop punky, but it might hvae all changed come release day.

As for St. Anger, i can't say i was a fan, a nice collection of riffs but none of the songs flowed.

As far as their old stuff goes, it still kicks the sh*t out of anything new i hear in the mainstream.

it was the last year's tour Escape From The Studio '06 (where I was!!) what was the old days tour actually
they played every song off MOP, even Orion and the only post-Black songs they played were Fuel and So What
