I recently dug my old Laney LC15 out of the wardrobe having not used it for about 3-4 years. It works perfectly and it sounds better than I remember. However, I was planning on selling the Laney and buying another small valve amp for home playing and recording (something like a Cornford Harlequin or similar), but now I'm tempted to upgrade the speaker and valves on the Laney and spend the money on something else.
Has anyone changed the speaker and valves on the LC15 and if so, what to, and does it make that much difference? I know Watford Valves do a package so I may go with one of their offers......or should I just sell it and get something else?
