i'm thinking either burnt chrome or camo nailbombs... or if i can get them, the redder burnt nickel covers :D

Ooh, very metal!
I think all of the above would be good, but burnt chrome is a bit shiny so I'd probably go for that given the body has a matte finish, just for contrast.

i'm lazy, and i can tell if i'm gonna like it without playing it, i've played a couple of similar guitars before, ie a couple with the same neck etc.
