As the title says.... what are the tonal differences between a ceramic warpig and a miracle man?  I'm talking about the bridge pickup specifically.  Please be as specific as possible.

If the warpig is at all muddy or dull, I really don't want it.

I have never heard a muddy or dull BKP.

The biggest difference would be the bass. Mostly caused by the dual screw coil.

I would like some more info on comparisons between these two too... actually.... comparisons between a miracle man bridge & neck set and a ceramic warpig bridge/warpig neck set...

oh, and I doubt the ceramic warpig bridge would be muddy. people say it is very bright sounding

Ok, first you have to TRY to make a pig of either type sound muddy. With any sensible amp settings both are crystal clear. Heavy as hell, and crystal clear.

As for comparison, EQ wise the miracle man is no slouch in the bass. The pig has a reputation for it, and deservedly so, but a lot of its heaviness is in the mids for both the A5 and C WP.

All have comparable lows, I cant really tell you for sure which is more of less as I've never had the any of the CWP, WP or MM in the same guitar. All plenty of kick though.

As far as the character of the lows goes, the MM and CWP are quite comparable as they're both sugically tight.

The MM and CWP have a smooth mid, the MM being a little scooped with a nice kicking low mid left quite prominent. The pigs mid response is more even (making pigs sound HUGE)

In the highs all are completely clear and articulate. The sharpest sound and most highs is in the MM without a doubt.

The biggest difference in character of the sounds is in the gain and compression. The CWP has more of both.

Good post. Thanks.

Have you tried the MM neck and WP neck? how do they compare? I'm assuming both are pretty thick, fat, bassy, compressed? any voicing differences between them?
