well.. this one took me .. close to 8 years now. i always wanted a tattoo, but i didnt want something that would just be a fashion accessory you know (like most people do it today. $% those ass tats and the butterflies and whatevers (tribal and chinese letters anyone?)
i wanted something that had some meaning for me. i looked into norse runes and things like that, majorly cool stuff on its own to research and read about., but nothing did it for me. so keeping in the vein of mythology and my general attitude, i thought, why not a phoenix, so i started looking at pics and tats, but none were like i wanted them (either too cliche or bad drawings and things like that) after i found this drawing, i knew i wanted this one, so i got in touch with an artist here, that did some cool stuff and he said that it's no problem
we talked about how to pull it off how much shading, which parts should be pronounced. at first he didnt want to add any coloring to it, cos it looked great on its own, but once he started with the red and yellow, he said after it heals to come by and he'll add more free of charge, cos it looked freakin badass :D
