If you use certain alloys to make screws they can react with the wood and cause either the wood to rot or the screw in question to corrode and become useless.
I too use chicken as a measurement.

I asked for 'bullet marks' which they seem to have interpreted as 'ricochets' and just hit it a bit more with a grinder.
It still looks good though.
