i'd like to suggest some witchfynde tracks. i always find the guitar work pretty inspiring, and they have some de-stressing ballads like 'leaving nadir' for example, which might be nice to hear, winding down on the way home.

I'm already familiar with the bands from the New Wave. Witchfynde was a good band, their singer reminds me a lot of Halford. I don't like Witchfynde as much as some other bands from the New Wave, but I have a couple of their CDs.

i already knew you were a man of good taste lol ;) witchfynde are very much my cup of tea, as i like hard rock/metal crossover in general. i agree that the singer(s?) sound like Halford. this morning i was also thinking that the guitar work is somewhat like a fast eddie/pete townshend cross over.

you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly

if I don't feel like I'm in the mood I'll skip a track. I'm all for totally random as I know my albums much too well.

Know the feeling although my collection is paltry... about 1500 songs
I have 6 discs of beethoven on mine, which are too often skipped but sometimes its nice to hear the pastoral symphony then the opening riff to walk.
Id reccommend Duke Special if you're looking for something different. Irish Folk I forst heard on Jools holland.
My perfect playlist has
one of the AC/DC greats - albums high voltage -> back in black
Today it was the version of whole lotta rosie from if you want blood, but it will be something else tommorrow.
Lets build a home (live) - The White Stripes - this one i stole from a youtube vid of them on some chat show
You really got me - the kinks - the kinks
I wanna be your dog - The Stooges - The Stooges
Thriller - MJ - Thriller, I have the no 1s album
Help! - The Beatles - I got it on the best of 62-66 double album
Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from mars - David Bowie - The rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from mars
All these things that I've Done - The killers - Hot Fuss
Citizen erased - Muse - The origin of Symmetry
Because I want you to - Placebo
And some smiths to finish - what difference does it make, although I'd have the queen is dead over their debut any day.
Feline Custom, Fender MIJ mustang bass
Orange rocker 30
VHII and Mississippi queen

Johnny A is Playing in Piermont NY at the Turning Point on Wednesday night if you can drag Phil King out it'll be quite a show. I saw him there last month. Johnny  can tear it up, he is a great player. I would go see J A again but I am seeing  Smokin Joe Kubek on Thursday night there.
