Can someone tell me the EQ levels (Bass, Mids, Treble) for the calibrated set of Black Dogs??

I'm hoping that won't be overly bright in a Gibson LP Classic.

Thanks

It shouldn't be too bright at all!

I can have an EQ curve for you tonight. I have all my notes at home!

Thanks for the help.

Is there a place on the web site to get this information?  I wasn't able to find one.

I suggest you listen to some clips in the player section, this will give you a better idea than any EQ curves, which might be misleading.

Well, I've listened to the clips of the BD set done by Hunter and I have to say that I'm sold.  Great stuff.  Thanks for the heads up.

I've just ordered the calibrated set of BDs from the web site.   :D

TwilightOdyssey, if you get a chance I would like to see the info you have.

Thanks

Huh, that's really nice to hear all these comments. Now I'm wondering how that thread has influenced the overall share of Black Dogs as opposed to other models  8)

Actually, after my fourth set of BKPs now, I am aware that I spent 1,200 EUR on BKPs, which would be a really nice guitar or amp  :(

Anyway, I have to say it don't matter what you get, they are all equally great, just different dishes on the menu of a 5 michelin star cook.

Let's have a starter of a few Rebel Yell Bridge arpeggios today, followed by a long menu of some serious VHII riffing and concluded with some light blues bites from the BKP91 neck.

Hmmmm, delicious!!!!

Okay, sorry it took me so long to get this info to you. All of the numbers below are based off of subjective listenings. I use the number 5 to denote a neutral sound in that particular bandwidth. The pickup that I used as my reference tone is the Stormy Monday, as I have found that to be the most neutral sounding humbucker that Tim has designed.

Hope you find this helpful:

BLACK DOG BRIDGE, CLEAN
Bass = 5
Lower Midrange = 5
Midrange = 7
Upper Midrange = 7
Treble = 7

BLACK DOG NECK, CLEAN
Bass = 6
Lower Midrange = 7
Midrange = 5
Upper Midrange = 7
Treble = 6

BLACK DOG BRIDGE, OVERDRIVEN
Bass = 5
Lower Midrange = 8
Midrange = 8
Upper Midrange = 5
Treble = 5

BLACK DOG NECK, OVERDRIVEN
Bass = 6
Lower Midrange = 6
Midrange = 5
Upper Midrange = 4
Treble = 5

One of the things I like about the Black Dog is the fact that the bridge and neck pickups have the same sonic signature, instead of having complimentary signatures, like the Stormy Monday.
