Oooohhh i do love this song!

Very nice playing and tone there, can't beat a bit of classic Metallica.

Ta Joe :)

Really couldn't get anywhere near this sound with my old pickups, either got the bass (but far mushier) or the treble (but harsher). The mid response of the Warpig is just superb.

I think a classic rock track next played off the neck .... been getting a good sound from there lately too :D

It's a great song to play. I actually prefer my Crawlers more for this than my Warpig.

Yeah, the warpigs don't really give a good Metallica sound IMO, but then I think that Kill 'em All was too trebley, and the rest was a bit scooped for my taste (esp. Justice...). Muppets is about their best sound for me.

I like my thrash middley :) The Rust in Peace album by Megadeth is just about spot on to my ears.

Ratrod, are there any heavy Crawler clips out there? ... I would be interested in hearing them do some heavier stuff, as work bonuses are on the cards == new guitar time :D

Well I posted some clips a long time ago. One of them was Sum 41's Fat Lip and Carlaz made some excellent doomy clips. No old school metal as far as I can remember.

Strings maybe, but prbly just my playing   I tend to fret too hard and bend the strings out of tune. But I did record that after about 2 hours of playing, so something most likey did go. My G always works itself lose. My excuse anyway!

More distortion you say ... Hmmm, gives me an idea ... I'll see what I can do

In a bizarre-ish modded off-topic tangent, I'm looking to by a new house at the mo and recently nearly had to by a place simply because it was called "The Old School". I mean, how goram cool an address would that be?

Matt,
The Old School
&c ....

Ahhhm living the dream :)

anyways, new clips soon - super distortion and classic rock on their way.
