You can lock the Floyd Rose and then you don't have to switch anything!

otherwise you're gonna have to do some routing and drilling and filling eurgh. The cost to get the work done would buy yu another guitar :P

Yes Schaller make some more vintage style bridges that have the Floyd Pivot posts at 74 mm apart

So would the schaller just go straight on instead of the Floyd Rose, or would i have to put something to lock the bridge?

Is the floyd routed out or not because if the floyd is routed out then you will have a gaping hole in your guitar.

yeah if it is a top-mount floyd (i.e. only divebombs) you'll be fine, otherwise you're gonna need to fill in a biiiig hole in your guitar.

so, basically, if i don't mind having a massive hole in the front of my guitar then it doesn't need filling.

i don't suppose the performance would be any better than that of your floyd - if the hole was there, wouldnt the trem still be floating?

I would (and have) just block it with two pieces of wood. ALOT cheaper and it's really not that hard to do either.
