well.. everything is wired up properly. i quadruple checked it. maybe i just got a loop through the housing or whatever.. i grounded that pin and not it doesnt make any noise.. but i got a nifty kill switch hehe.

and for the record .. gibson style switches SUCK ASS!!!!!!!!!!! i was much happier with the japanese ibanez switch i had in my epi. much more hassle free. these things arent worth the money they ask for them.

aye, i have no idea, lol. You probably know more about pickup wiring that I do... unless as you say you have some kind of loop?

^ haha!

I'm guessing you are getting the full tone of the bridge pickup with the switch in the bridge position, davey?

Giving a sensible answer now, are the wafers just touching? Many times you need to check the switch to make sure that it breaks the connection in the 'off' side.  I have had to bend the wafers a bit to make it work sometimes.

sounds like a volume pot that isn't totally at zero ohms when it's on zero - my mate's LP used to do this before I put some CTS pots in it.

it's purely a switch issue.

they might have some faint connection between them, since i get sound from both positions.. probably the soldering paste i got, cos it's slightly conductive, i got to clean the switch. i got it wired as a kill switch now, so there definatelly isnt any sound from the middle and neck positions anymore.
