ah, cool. I haven't actually tried any sl1's, but the sl3 is really nice- and the sl1 should be better. any of the USA jacksons I have tried were really nice guitars, if a little pricey... though you've avoided the "pricey" problem, so it should be all good. Maybe apart from the JB, lol.

^ garg. He did say if anyone offered £1000 odd he'd take it... I guess you can't blame him if he needs the money, but it's annoying... :(

mm

well i see where hes coming from...

but hes breaking the law... he didnt just end the thing early... i won... and then he refused to let me pay/send the item....

which is CLEARLY stated in the policy ruling thing... in fact they give an example about guitars exactly the same as my situation...

so... dunno... ive reported it e.t.c..

i knew it wouldnt go smoothly as its just so cheap... but thats his fault for not putting a resevre e.t.c..

ah, I didn't realise that was against the rules (i've never used ebay, lol). I had heard something vaguely along those lines before, though. Since you're in the right, i hope you get the guitar. Might as well be someone in here who gets a good deal, lol.

:drink:

EDIT: though yeah, don't get your hopes up, lol. Possession is 9/10 of the law, unfortunately (in this case, anyway!)...

prestige rg or s's, jackson sl3, they're both pretty nice. £700 isn't too far off what you could get a custom legra or similar for (i think, don't quote me on it, lol), if you don't need neck-thru construction or fancy cosmetics and everything flamed... plus there's a good chance you might want to switch pickups on any non-custom guitar you got, so that's worth considering too...

really up to you, though. It's normally a bad idea to buy just because you want to blow £700, lol, but then it's no fun being too sensible all the time either...

haha cheers dave.

mmm legra eh... veeeeeeeeeeeeery interesting! lol

frills dont interest me at all... never have done really...

i just feel like i really know what i want out of a guitar now... ive got my jackson, and the gibson... and even though i like em both, and the jackson was only recent.... i just feel like selling them both and getting one crackkking guitar could serve me better....

-no floyd
-body wood- preffferably mahogany but not TOO choosey
-humbuckers, will settle for H-S-H or H-S-S but H-H is optimal
-jackson scale length... think its 25"...?
-no huge carving like on a traditional les paul... EURGH!
-full but flat neck... nothing wizardy in the slightest... i despise them... but not fat/round trad. Gibson...

and thats about it really...

jsut dont know where to start..... been looking at a lot of jackson superstrat, those MIJ signature les pauls... hmmm

jackson scale is normally 25.5"... on the floydy ones, anyway. Not so sure about the hardtails... the hardtail king v is 24.75", if I remember correctly.
