New acoustic e.p ETA: Now with soundclips!

Hi all,

so next week my new e.p will finally be released and as TO and I had been supporting each other through the adventures, trauma and pitfalls of creating a true DIY release I thought I'd engage in a little shameless self promotion.

If this is outside the spirit and rules of the forum then apologies, and delete the post forthwith.  

Anyway, acoustic duo playing really textured and layered songs informed by english folk and 1960's americana, with an emphasis on wistful and pretty. There's an mp3 sampler of our music, so if anyone is interested then PM me and I'll email it out. While there's no BKP content, there is a fair bit of matamp appearing (lap steel played through el84 minimat and 1x12 alnico blue cab) for those matamp fanatics.

I rather liked that!

It reminds me of a bunch of different folk stuff I've heard. The mandolin, or mandocello, sounded great.

Sterling recording quality, too,  of the audiophile demo variety!!

Thanks for the kind comments TO,

I'm really happy with the sound quality considering it was all done in the traditional DIY environment of the bedroom, with occasional forays into my lounge for the string quartet and vocals.

The mandolin is currently my favourite instrument to record, it just sits in the mix nicely with just a dash of reverb, and very little other processing. That and the lap steel were the most enjoyable parts to play too.
