Does the digitech gnx3000 whammy function have all the controles of the normal whammy or because it's in a multifx unit is it limited.
I really like the look of the gnx3000. for under £300 you get a recorder for guitar, bass and vocals, 57 total effects, 11 at a time, 43 amp models, 25 cab models, pro tracks plus (recording software), built in drum machine with 80 models and a chromatic tuner. :D .
does anyone have any experiences with them?

never seen one, but I'd bet alot of money on it not being as good as a normal digitech whammy.

The Normal Digitech Whammy was never reliable in the first place (I actually find a lot of digitechs stuff unreliable), the power supply often fails and the worst part is it's not a very common power supply so you have to order them from Digitech. A normal one costing about 40 dollars.

On the other hand, i'd look at the boss Super Shifter and an expression pedal to use with it. Boss stuff i've found way more reliable and rarely ever see anyone with a problem with boss.

One deal breaker for me with the gnx series is that switching from patch to patch in a live song situation does'nt do realtime switching. there is enough of delay to make it sound like you screwed up ie. came in a little late on a song change. Sound was pretty icepicky treble sterile too. just my two cents, though. I played the gnx for a week and traded it back and got a vox tonelab se, but not near as many bells and whistles, but great tone.
