so my guitars got this stuff on that i dont like, so is it a good idia to sand down the neck real smooth .
It's a rall cheep guitar by the way.

I did it to a sticky Les Paul neck. Use finer grade paper as you go along ending with wire wool to make it silky smooth. You do need to maintain the neck with oil or use a sealer of some sort.

I rub a brillo pad down the necks of my guitars... makes em smoooth.

I have no idea how to do it, but all of my necks are unfinished necks, sanded smooth and then oiled. Feels great so long as the neck doesn't do a pretzel routine on ya!
