I have a single channel AD30 head which I use with a 70s Orange 4x12 with Greenbacks and McKenzie speakers, a Marshall 2x12 or Award Session 1x12 open back cab.

I set the amp for slightly crunchy and boost it with pedals for my Overdrive sounds :)

Any clips?

Please?

They've got these at my local shop and its a 'Buy Now, Pay in 12 Months or we'll steal your house. and your cat' type deal.

I'm tempted, seriously. Between that and maybe a Vox AC30 CC2...

I used my AD30 with various parts of my pedalboard and plenty of BKP loaded guitars through a Marshall 4x12 cab on my bands new EP.

The songs are at www.myspace.com/forthisdaymusic and my guitars are panned to the left :)

Ask if you want anymore info as regards the varying rigs/tones etc :)

Yeah, I'm starting to get Orange fetishes these days...it's quite uncomfortable. :D

How does the AD play, man? I hear they don't have as much gain as the rockers do, but they have 2 channels and are mid gained?

Either way, they're sexy amps.

The newer model ADs have 2 channels, mine is an older single channel 1 :)

With gain at anywhere above 6 the amp develops a nice crunch tone, nothing i'd refer to as high gain, but more than enough for what I need.

I set mine with the gain at about 3, so that if I play harder the amp breaks up but if I play softer I get a nice clean tone. This works great for pushing with Overdrive and Boost pedals :)

^Ahh, nice nice. :)

My rocker gives some br00tal gain and sometimes I feel it's more than I need...but man, it's awesome to have.
