to me.. the Diezel sounds a lot like a solidstate amp.

It's really poopy sounding.. and any amp that costs £2k with microchips inside on a pcb and tube sockets solderd to the pcb..

look I know you love your Splawn, but you gotta keep the facts right. Einis tube sockets are not mounted on the PCB, they are chassis mounted, there are a few mm between case and pcb, they are connected with wires. The sound is pure tube, there are no transistors in the signal chain. The price is also not 2K pounds but 1,900 EUR, which is 1,300 GBP.

Sound is subjective, as said I think the Shiva and the Eini are both awesome amps, though very different.

just out of interest, what are the speakers in the cab in the pic with the diezel? They sound great! very tight sound.

Simple mix of 1xV30 and 1x12H30. It's recorded at very low volume, maybe that's why ...?

The cab is a Heritage, yes the one in Kalamazoo with the ex Gibson dudes. It's quality and it's ported for more bass. I paid 430 EUR new which I find reasonable for a quality US 2x12. The cab is actually not SO tight, I couldn't play Diezel front loadad cabs or sth, i like them to be a bit woody and resonant.

Dont be ashamed, i would do exactly the same. You took the time to record the clips and take some photos then share them with us only to get some negative comments. Good clips by the way!!

It seems,to me that you've got now 2 very good amps and they are very , very differents from one another. That's really a +! You are now able to play multiple kinds of music...Congrats 8)  ! I bet many of us would like to have that luxury...(although many have  )

Huh, now ... what to say

Thanks a lot for this comment, it leaves me a bit redfaced and humble ...

Actually over on the HC forum some guys said that the bends were out of tune and I didn't get the point at some parts, and I tended to agree with them (I always like to critisize myself as it is more motivating than flattering ;)).

gotta say i'm not that into the einstein from the clips.
However i bet it's satisfying to play whilst you're in the room with it, and also this is VERY low volume - which means it can only get better as you crank it  any chance of a cranked clip to sway us all to the diezel side of the road?
LOVING the Mules!

Actually I never made a cranked clip - I cannot crank my amps here very well. The Diezel benefits from a bit of volume because of its rather hi-gain nature, it helps the definition if the speakers move a bit of air. Power amp wise Diezels aren't designed to impact tone a lot with power amp distortion. On the Bogner the impact of crtanking is bigger, it gets soaring, oozing and more fluid when you turn it up a bit. I can turn it up a little maybe later and do some recording for you.

well, i know nothing of any "HC forum," and from what i can hear with my (possibly?) novice ears - though i like to think they are fairly developed - the  bends are phenomenal...  and about "not getting the point" at some parts, well, i think that is bullshitee, you hit it right!  Furthermore, disregarding any "not getting the point"s and out of tune bends, it was the soul that counted more than anything.  So much heart went into that piece, or at least emanated out of it.  I tend to praise high and fully the things that i like, and even more so the ones i find, to a degree, perfect - but then, you have already experienced this - so there is no need to be bashful my friend, its just how i operate and i am a picky individual to be sure (getting moreso by the day...).  I have the original Passion and Warfare [1990] album, and on 'For the Love of God' you get the point far more than Vai did, or possibly ever could.  Vai's work on the song is good, but compared to yours it has the soul of a phytoplankton.

Also i completely understand the self-criticizing deal; i think all my work is shite even when others praise it, and when i think something is good eventually i think less of it.  I think to be a creative mind and actively produce art or anything meaningful, one cannot but feel lacking, to some degree, in their own output.  If one did not have this complex of self-doubt then it would be very hard to progress and better oneself and one's craftsmanship, because then one would just settle for one's own "brilliance."  Well, at least, that's my two cents.  In any case, great work!
