Your help/opinions please... First time BK buyer.

Give me your advice/opinion...

I have always been a seymour duncan man but want to try out some bareknuckes... My favorite SD's are custom and jb for bridge and 59 neck...

I play everything from clean to death metal... But my main tones are high gain 80's, metalcore, and melodic death metal/death metal.

Going in a mahogany body, maple neck thru, maple board w/t floyd rose..

Looking at holydiver, cold sweat, miracle man, or nailbomb... Not sure which would fit tha bill best and I have no way of testing them out befor I buy.

Edit: I do prefer the custom over the jb but still like the jb....

Looking for tight bass, lots of cutting mids, smooth but cutting treble vintage and organic but with a modern edge...

Want around the same output/gain as the custom and JB...  I know I dont want the warpig and pretty sure the MM is too dark and not enough mids not sure though...

By reading the descriptions the Cold Sweat might be tha best choice..

Thank
Hank

I got a nailbomb on a guitar with a floyd ..its pretty crunchy ..and cleans up nice..
i have not tried the others yet... the MM seems popular
stay disembodied

 BKP's so far nailbomb 7 , nailbomb 7 neck.

any contemporary bk will do it very well
if your favorites duncans are custom and jb, the obvious choices would be cold sweat and holy diver, respectively
but if you want to get hotter, just try a painkiller, miracle man or warpig
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat

The Miracle Man is certainly popular in mahogany guitars and is the obvious choice for Metal but I'd say Cold Sweat. I'd be wary of Warpig or Painkiller as Tim warned me off those in my mahogany guitar, which is also a neckthru with a locking trem.  Both MM and CS are ceramic pups so cut through the mahogany well though the CS retains a rather warmer tone and is closest to the SD pups you mention.

Rebel Yells are close to a original Duncan JB. If your in to metal try the MM or CS.
Warpig, MQ,
Miracle Man-Trilogy Suite, Cold Sweats, Black Guards, Rebel Yells & Irish Tours!

By reading the descriptions all the pups I mentioned seem killer. Tuff choice!!

Nailbomb is good but with a mahogany body I'd still go Cold Sweat, though in fairness, I am biased
