Our drummer sings harmonies - no problems with that.

Although he still isn't a proper musician of course  ;)

Triumph, Kansas, Spock's Beard and King's X are bands that immediately spring to mind when I think of drummers that can sing as well as play drums.

If they can do it, I say more power to em!

I dont think there's anything wrong with a drummer singing if they're good.

Bill Ward has sung on a black sabbath song as well
Riff Raff/Stormy Monday, Holydiver and Mississippi Queen!!!

Let not forget about Don Henley from the Eagles. Has to be one of the best singer/songwriter/drummers out there. He could have made a tidy career out of doing either, but chose to do both, very well.

I have no problem with Drummers singing-it does look awkward but Don Henley does it ok(as has been said) but if Barry ( drummer in my band) sees this I don't want him getting ideas.

Dave Clark (as in the Dave Clark 5)

Singing drummers thats just a silly idea

Rob...

OK so it took me 3 attempts to spell drummers properly (I preferred the spelling dummer anyway)

Dave Grohl is a pretty good singer/songwriter as well.  Don Henley + Phil Collins are up there as well.
