5150 III Amp is out?

3 Channels, I cannot see a Master volume, but 3 independent Presence pots. Looks like 4xEL34?

Available in Black or White. The Cabs use Celestion EVH speakers, those seem to be new too ... exciting ... at 1499 EUR :!:

Don't see how it tops the 6505 yet.

And 1 extra channel just means more complications - Who uses anything except the lead channel on a 5150?!

I remember that amp sounding great from the youtube clip of EVH playing it at NAMM.

If it's at the same price point as the 6505 it should do very well.

Problem is, the 5150/6505 already has a reputation as a great metal amp - it's gonna take time for this new amp to build a reputation beyond being a signature amp.

Weirdly I can find very little official info on this amp. It's not on the Fender site, how odd.

Is it voiced differently from the 5150 (6505) or just a straight rip off with an extra channel ?

From what I heard so far it's going to have less gain than the 5150 ... ehm is there anything with more anyways? I also think it's more plexyish, not as dark as the 5150 I but rather upper mid/treble intense ... which is good IMO.

I had one of the first 5150 in Germany about 15 years ago, and I tell you, it had more gain than the Einstein ...

5150's have stupid ammounts of gain it uses 6 pre-amp tubes, and i'll tell u now that Catherine video thing.. he won't have used the new fender prototype it'll be a Soldano SLO100 or his No1 Plexi.. He rarely records with anything else but generally likes to credit his current signature amp to the tones on tape... not saying this is a dead certain. But eddie does bullshitee about the gear he uses on tape he likes to keep his tone a bit of a secret.

That would be a great idea, the EVH amps are all way too powerful. They have a great tone for uber-gain leads but that's it.
