Has any one tried the phpGraphTech Superbridge?

I have one in my Guild S-100 and there is a notable difference, especially when playing open chords - the notes resonate longer.

Cool. I'm thinking about slowly pimping out my latest mockingbird with things like that.

I've just put an Earvana nut on it this weekend. Still need to play with the intonation a little more, but it's sounding good already.

Go for it definately worth an upgrade. I have ordered some of the string savers as they seem worth the money.

I'm thinking of getting one for my Epi when I have enough spare money - will it fit a normal Epiphone LP Custom?

Does anyone do a locking tailpiece? I think they'd come in handy..

There's a TonePros one with grubscrews to hold it in place (like their bridges). And they also make locking tailpiece studs with removable tops that you just screw down tight to hold the tailpiece in place. They all work well enough but I think they're overpriced.

There also a thing called the "Stayput" tailpiece (I think it's Wilkinson) which has angled slots to stop it falling off. It wouldn't improve sustain like the TonePros parts (allegedly) do, though:

Jeebus, the superbridge is a little pricey. I've just been quoted £125 for one PDT_044

Seems a bit much for a few graphtec saddles & a couple screw holes like on tele style guitar knobs to secure it to the posts.

Ahh, not to worry though. I've found a guide on the project guitar forum on how to convert a TOM to locking&I've found the sadles for around £25.

So I may just save myself around £100 & do it myself.

Take that overpriced guitar parts :shock:
