Just got the tutorial DVD of "Get out of my yard", and and all Gilbert fans should check it out.

It is:

FUN - The guy really loves playing the guitar and it shines through in every aspect!

SCARY - Clean, articulate and super-fast.

I just can't get enough of Paul, he must be my dream instructor as his love of the instrument is totally infectious + I'd know I could never outgrow his lessons.

He is AWESOME  PDT_027

I haven't heard of this tutorial....must....get...it!!

I bought his first 2 instructionals and I'm really getting alot of mileage out of his Guitars from Mars intructional on youtube. It's all blues!!!!

I really love the way he teaches guitar!!

i got 6 of his instructional vids now..

i just cant get through the guitars from mars and intense rock vids... just way too much, way too fast... you've got lessons, that would normally span over a year, compressed into a two hour instructional set.
you tend to lose focus, but if you're serious about it, it'll force you to get a teacher.

the get out of my yard one is pretty damn good, if at a higher level than the rest of his stuff, but he explains stuff very well (and i'm halfway through the interesting solo of castle dragon hehe. fun fun fun song!!)

I'm gonna eventually get them all.

I understand the Guitar from Mars stuff, it's just to have the time to sit and practice. Sometimes at my blues jams I loose ideas when I'm soloing, these vids are very helpful. I can memorize licks pretty easily, it's just having time to build them up to speed I lack.

Is this tutorial only available in Europe?

I was just wondering if my dvd player will play it. I Didn't think about that until after I ordered it from the musicroom. I know my brother has to have a universal dvd player to watch dvds his wife gets from her mom in France.

I got it today!

I haven't had a chance to digest it yet. I was busy putting a swing set together for my little girl.

I've been working on Rusty Old Boat. The 10th to 17th fret stretch is a huge one for me. I have to put my LP, Classical style in order to play the lick.      *shakes fist at Paul Gilbert*
