Earth2 - my cd must be knackered...

I'm on a bit of a doom trip at the minute, got my Orange Goblin and Earth CDs through the post today.  I think the Earth one is knackered, they've forgot to put the drums and vocals on it    :roll:

It's gonna take a few listens to get into the Earth stuff, not nearly as immediate as Electric Wizard or other more standard doomy stuff like Down, Crowbar, Cathedral, Cult Of Luna, Eyehategod etc...

Anyone got any other good bands to checkout in this genre? (don't suggest Sunn, I couldn't get away with them for some reason)

Ever listened to Esoteric? Not the same as Earth and Sunn, but very big sounds- soundscapes and noise... yeah, i'm cr@p at explaining stuff, but they are _very_ good :) Check out Khanate, they are more Sunn/Earth though :) And check out The River too, from Croydon, and they kick arse (more like Electric Wizard style riffage, with female vocals (clean not growled)).
