I can't see

Got absolutely shite faced last night and lost my only pair of glasses. Apparently I had them when I left the pub, the next place I remember being after that was somewhere in quite a large park and looking for a pair of glasses in it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack even if I could see.

I'm not sure if the headache is from the southern comfort or the eyes and specsavers have told me it'll take them a week to get me another pair.

Just having a moan.

My old pair broke and I had to wear my mum's for 2 weeks. You'd think I would have bought 2 pairs after that, wouldn't you?

I think the lesson here is to use contact lenses rather than glasses for drunken nights out.

Been meaning to get contacts for a while actually. But I think the real lesson is to get less drunk...

+1 Also avoids the major problem of glasses "fogging up" when you enter a warm pub from a cold outside - although this will now mean you can't use the excuse that you are unable to see the bar and are therefore unable to buy the first round.

Found them just before I left for work this morning. Sitting on top of a copy of catch 22 as it happens. I must have thought that'd be funny or something.

I went literally blind once after drinking - for a minute I couldn't see a thing, but I could still feel and hear properly. This probably makes me sound like the world's biggest pisshead, but that isn't really true (pauses to sip Chianti). Anyone else had this happen to them? It's quite worrying...
