This is an instrumental song which my friend wrote, and which I helped him record. He played all the acoustic bits, then I went back over and filled in the bass, electric, and the drum programming.
I used my Nailbomb bridge for the rhythm parts, and the Cold Sweat neck for most of the lead, with a bit of lead on the Nailbomb. The pickups are in an Epi LP Custom. I've had these pickups since last September, just never got around to making a decent clip. I'm really digging the sound of these pickups, especially the Cold Sweat.
The recording is in rough shape, all the soloing (except the first solo) was improv, and I'm not exactly a great guitar player. Let me know what ya think.
For anyone who cares, I was running my guitar into a Zvex Box of Rock and then into my AX84 Renegade (Basically a modded JCM 800). This, into a home built 2x12, close miked with a Sennheiser e609 and distance miked with a Rode NT2a, through a Mackie mixer, into Cakewalk Sonar. All effects are added post recording.
EDIT: I posted up a new version, with a revised solo, and with the rhythm guitars not quite so up-front. Tell what you think of the tones, the playing, the recording, whatever.
