Dude!  That was beautiful.  I listened to the old one and the new one fixed any thing wrong in the mix.  In fact, when I redownloaded it, when it started playing, I had already memorized the initial singing melody before it came in, so that means, if you can sing it in your head after one listen, then it's a keeper.   Great tone, and exactly what I'm saving for(nb +cs ) in a ibanez s540 mahog.  Just confirms my G.A.S wishes for the Cold sweat in the neck.   Those acoustics sounded good too.  What where they?

Thanks guys! You're too cool

Lifted: I've never really been happy with how that singing melody in the beginning sounds on this mix. I loved how it sounded on the old one; unfortunately I lost all my project files. The acoustic is mine, a Dean Exotica FM. Pretty budget guitar. I got a really good deal used on it, and the guy had lowered the action and installed an Earvana nut. The action is almost identical to my LP. It had pretty old strings too, so I was surprised by how good it sounds recorded. I love that guitar

Dane: My CS is stock spec. Around 9k I believe, Alnico V. I have my amp set to a pretty distorted tone already, but it will clean up pretty well. Then I send it over the top with the BoR, and it has become one of my favorite tones.

nice tone and playing! I also use the Rode NT2-A, it's a very very nice mic, even quiter than a Neumann. I like the dark tone you have achieved in the solo/lead parts, it sounds like you spent a while getting the right sound for once, it's a good clip, nice work.  :P

The entire song was played in F# minor, and the soloing was all F# Aeolian (Natural Minor)

Edit: With a few pentatonic licks thrown in for good measure.  :P
