Pickup Question

Heavy metal to blues/country which pickup listed is best all around pickup in bridge position. Going in American Stratocaster with neck and middle stock fender noiseless pickups.

So how long does it take to get an order if in US?

How good is the Sinner for Metal?

Can it tone down enough for a good clean sound in bridge of Stratocaster?

I don't think that the Sinner will give you the 'chime' you need for the country stuff, and neither will a DMZ HS-3.

If you want something that will tread the line between grind and still clean up really well, you might be better served looking into the Trilogy Suite. Hope this helps!

US orders usually ship the week we receive them.
Sinner is extremely high output and designed primarily for metal...............a better allrounder would be the Irish Tour bridge or Slow Hand...both are muscular enough to have a good driven tone but also clean up well for classic Strat tone.

HS-3 would perhaps be be the nearest for country, but it wouldn't be a very good country sound.  And it's not a metal pickup at all, despite Yngwie's patronage.  It probably wouldn't be any louder than your Fender Noiseless.

I'm not fond of the JB Jr or Tone Zone S, I'd rather have a full-size humbucker.  If you really wanted a Strat-size humbucker, DM's Fast Track 1 or Chopper will rock a bit but still have a hint of single-coil-ness.

I've never experienced a Sinner, but from what I've heard it would make the Fender Noiseless sound like a pair of mewling kittens.  You'd need a full set of BKPs.

If you wanna go all single coils, I'd reccomend the slowhands - although my strat has a Holydiver in the bridge, so I can't comment on the bridge slowhand...But then you could get the bridge HD too if your guitar is routed for it or you don't mind doing a bit of work.

Either way, Tim has spoken and I think it safe to say he knows a lot more than any of us :D

I really would love a hot sound in the stratocaster the Sinner provides I think. the other options may be better for me in the long run however, the ones Tim suggested. I will listen to sound clips and get a feel.

Also it sounds like it may be necessary to change all my pickups due to volume differences, is this correct?

I appreciate the input. I will be deciding and ordering this Friday so I need to make up my mind. With any equipment that seems like a hard thing to do sometimes.

Well, I was semi-joking with my earlier comment, but I would guess the Sinner is a fair bit louder than the Fender pickups.  I don't think it would be a problem with any of the lower-output bridge pickups though.

Might be worth speaking to BKP first.  You can always get one pickup then add more later depending on how it works out.
