Tips for keeping strat in tune better when using trem?

I've finally got my strat into a playable state (though I'll probably get a Sinner when I can afford it - car is more important at the minute so all money is going into that :x), and strung it up so theres about 3 winds per post. Seems to stay in tune fairly well after some trem abuse, but the high e and b are usually a bit sharp. Any advice for this? Is it worth investing in some of that Nut Sauce stuff, or is pencil lead shavings in the slots just as effective? Also, is it worth buying a Graphtech string tree?

Any other tips you have for getting the best out of my trem would be great as well. I have it set up with 4 springs and 10s for dive only.

+ add some locking tuners.

There ought to be law that says every vibrato equipped guitar should have locking tuners.

Pencil lead is pretty good - I use a 5mm click pencil rather than shavings - chap stick on top helps keep the graphite in and keeps it a bit more fluid - put it on the string tree as well.

I tend to use King of Shaves Kinexium shaving oil for my nut (and face) - the stuff is so slippery it seems to work really wel.

There is a bit in this month's Guitarist about setting upa trem equipped Strat.Also, the Haynes Strat book is pretty useful.

I was thinking of that, but my winds are pretty neat so I'm not sure if I'd really benefit that much from locking tuners?

Cheers Elliot, might try some of that shave oil on the nut (ooer) if its cheaper than Nut Sauce or the other alternatives. 38th, thanks for that, might have to get the latest Guitarist for that guide :)
