GNR track using Mules now with bass + vocals!
« on: June 23, 2007, 11:33:27 AM »
Been working on this with a member of harmony central forums (his username is Prages if anyones interested, he did the bass and vocals) for next months "90s Coverfest", thought I might as well share it as I was using my LP with Mules :) Used bridge pickup for all rhythm guitars and the last 2 parts of soloage, middle position for the first 2 solos. Not entirely pleased with the solos, some bits sound out of tune to me, but I'm quite pleased with the tone.

It's great to see you improve with every clip you make, you've become an awesome player Tom, sounds great and I'd say it would probably sound good with whatever rig you'd play it .

Cheers hunter, I thought my playing was a bit cr@p on this (at least the lead playing), took so many takes to get it sounding half decent

Hey very nice, are all the guitars yours? if so major props its been mixed well. Drums are spot on too, in fact good all round if theres no backing track in there.

Yeah, both rhythm guitars are mine. The drums werent programmed by me, they're from a guitar pro midi file which was then ran through DKFH (by lepersmeesa here) so that they sounded more authentic. I didnt do the mixing either, that was also done by Prages on HC. No "proper" backing track involved :)
