Duncan designed bare knuckle pickup?????
« Reply #15 on: June 27, 2007, 06:53:54 PM »
i did the same! and he said...

"on the actual pick up it says duncan designed
and yes there i one humbucker with two single coil picks ups on the actual guitar.
thanks"

is he trying to say that there's somehow a bare knuckle, but with a duncan designed logo on it? or maybe a duncan thats been re-wound by BK?

i have no idea...  :?

Hahaha, it sounds like he means it's bare knuckle with a duncan designed logo on it, but surely that can't be true, i think it's all original and he is just trying to make some extra dosh or something.

sounds to me like he thinks "bare knuckle" is the term for "uncovered" or something.

EDIT: wow, it has a "fully licensed floyd rose"! there are partially licensed ones?

also, is that pic the guitar "by night"?

has anyone bothered to email eBay and tell them he is trying to sell an inferior product using the bare knuckle name - they might pull the auction pretty quickly.

if he had the humbucker rewound by BKP then he would know a bit more about it wouldnt he - it think we are on the right track with him thinking bareknuckle means uncovered - such nonsense needs to be stamped out

yer the pic is pretty indistinguishable.

  at Rob

Wez- i might give him another email just asking him straight up what the pickup actually is and whether he is claiming it is made by BK or not.

I think the all wise Dave MC has got the sense of it - he means its uncovered - does he know that there is a brand called Bare Knuckle.  Would you credit him with dishonesty or product misdescription  :o

if you put a cheap strat shaped guitar on ebay and call it a fender strat it will get pulled by ebay. . .  Doesnt matter if the person knows the difference between a fender and a cheap copy.

same applies here

:drink: (dunno about all wise, though   )

I think wez is correct, though, whether the guy knows or not, something should be politely said to him, or it should be pulled.

EDIT: i also thought it was funny you guys seeing the writing on the pickup. I couldn't even make out if the pic was a guitar, a pickup, a black rectangle, or what!

That does it
I'm putting small frets and Stormy Mondays on your flying V

Actually, that's not a bad plan. That would make it a nice blues and rock n' roll machine.
