how did I know this would turn into a metal thread. :?

Although i must admit I really dug the original soundtrack.

the song where rodimus prime opens the Matrix ( I think it was called) and "lit his darkest hour"

Man now I'm quoting lines from the cartoon movie

I honestly didnt pay much attention to the soundtrack. Visually I was kept so busy I couldnt keep up. This is a good thing as I often find films like this I can then enjoy for a second, third time etc.

I find pleasure in the details of a film. ie as a fan I was expecting Optimus to have a certain look. when he first arrives in the plotline he has a prper mouth and speaks with articulated lips. "Thats no good" I thought. Then later when he goes into battle he engaged a face shield and visually completes the image of what a fan would expect.

Detail with purpose and meaning. I really get into directors who can do this.

Matrix number 1 was a good example. when Neo is dragged into the car with Switch and Trinity and inspected for a "tracer program". Switch refers to Neo as a "Copper top". A reference that doesnt become clear until you see the whole plot unfold and watch the movie a second time.

What I will say about this movie is I will be pulling the money out of my pocket to see it again.

grawww!!!! that was amazing!!!! me an some of th boys went down to th local cinema on saturday with nothin to do before resigining ourselves to th nearest bar for th evening but the bloody previews of Transformers was on!!!!so we went an watched it before headin to th nearest bar

Optimus is a badass.

that movies awesome, its defo different fromt h cheesey original, but it makes it beeter as a stand alone movie you cant really compare it to th funky flare wearing transformers of old.
aleast they didnt really *manga* them up too much.

go see it before anything else!!!even th simpsons movie is likely to pale in comparasion

It's a good movie to watch. Don't expect any complicated story lines but there's good action and amazing computer animation.

And Barricade rules!

they take a while to kick in, but essentially it's the trailer that was at the beginning of the transformers movie for a monster film with no name

Went to see it lastnight and its easily the best film in the past 4 years I would say. I could even go out on a limb and say its better than LOTR. I never really got into that though. The simpsons will probably look cr@p in comparison to this, but Rush Hour 3 looks great.

Megatron kicked arse

"you wanna piece of me huh huh?"

"no, I'll have two"

Its another thing thats now on my to get list: Ps3, MGS4 and Transformers on Blu-Ray.

I shall go and see it again I think
