What I want is an analog sounding (ie, something not too modern/processed/digital) with a tap tempo function.

I LOVE the sound of out of my delicious DD-2 but the Line6 Echo Park I bought is too noisy when engaged. I love it's functionality though so I'm considering a trade-in.

I'm more than open to suggestions. TA!!

I'm also on the hunt for a new delay pedal, as my Digitech Digidelay is pretty noisy. So far I've narrowed it down to either the T-Rex Replica, or the DLS EchoTap. The latter is slightly cheaper, and actually has 2 delay settings available at all times.....however the T-Rex just looks cooler ;-)

By crikey, I wish I could afford a Mooger but, if I could, I'd never do anything other than mount it and play with it.

DLS EchoTap eh? I might investigate that one. :D

I'm also eyeing up TC Electronic Vintage Delay's.

Hmmm.....I'm suspicious of that entire range of pedals. There is an EXACT replica of each of the T-Rex pedals in that range. And they're both made in Denmark, and the equivalent pedals cost the same.

Can you spot a difference between the TC Vintage Delay and the T-Rex Replica? My money would be on the two pedals being identical inside.

(Likewise goes for the Vintage Compressor and the T-Rex CompNova, or the Vintage Tube Primer and the T-Rex Moller etc etc....)

Yeah, they look fantastic, but I couldn't find ANY information on them beyond what's on that site. Noone seems to sell them, noone seems to have bought one, and I can't find a single review anywhere.

I think I've settled upon the slightly-more-than-I-wanted-to-pay-but-totally-worth-it-because-it-makes-me-horny TC Electronic Vintage Delay... or the Replica, whatever... the name "Replica" makes me think that TC Electronic did it first, I thought they'd been around much longer, ie, they were making this shite when it was classed as "vintage" stuff.

One watch of the video and I'm sold. :o

As far as I can tell the only difference is that the Replica is true-bypass, and the TC isn't.

The pedals are absolutely identicle other than in appearance and lets be honest, they're hella-similar there too. T Rex make them for TC Electronic, they haven't been shifting though, since T REX were making them under the proviso that they would be priced the same, but now the TC ones are coming down in price. WIN!
