When ordering stuff from the states i allow an extra 25% in charges on top, its normally closer to 20% but it never hurts to be prepared for the worst.
So on £500 it will probably be another £100 + of charges.

At that kind of price any saving you make will be quite small so its probably not worth the risk of having a guitar shipped from the US

ha unfortunate that you mention it now- i just sold my upgraded one for £500

had locking tuners + locking bridge + official jackson hardcase e.t.c.

oh and if its £500 in the US and £630 here you might even end making a loss by importing from the US...

shipping will probably come to at least £60...  the customs on top of that will almost definitely take it over £630...

i would think so.... anyone clarify that?

  :D

interesting though actually, cause the one posted in that thread that you mention, was some special edition or something... right?

i've never seen one of them before- mine was the satin finish one... but the gloss with the body binding does look very cool.

whic one are you after? is there a major price difference?

well its just ths actual shape i LOVE so the finish is debatable.the head in particular!!plus im not a floyd fan though both mine have em,i do like th satin black though.theres a red one on ebay ive got my eye on though red wouldnt be my first choice.i love transparent finishes hence my hatred   of W'licker lol.
i dont think theres much price difference, just between jap an us models as always.

We should have a stickie  topic that explains custom charges and VAT because it comes up a lot on this forum. - maybe I should mention it to Ben (Twilight Odyssey)
