Author Topic: Les Paul Custom clone with mahogany top? (Read 4874 times)

Does anyone know anyone who makes one? I really fancy a black one with gold hardware. I know of an Orville by Gibson for £750 on the Japan Guitars website, but I was hoping for something closer to £500. The Edwards replicas have maple tops, and the Tokai LC-185 is £800 in Japan, plus shipping/taxes etc so that rules it out.

Is there another option I've missed?

One of my friends bought his son an Arbor LP copy as a starter guitar. I played it, it was nice for the money. He paid $280 for it.

I perferred it over an Epi LP!

Black ESP with the Gold Binding.

Edwards make one aswell.

As do LTD.

The LTD one is 24 fret.

Edit: Nvm - Thought the matte ones had mahogany tops - Just looked it up and I'm wrong...

keeep a lookout on ebay for a similar orville to the one from Japan Guitars. everything on there comes up on ebay for half the price eventually.

How much does that weigh? The last agathis guitar I had weighed a tonne. It was even chambered. It felt like it was made from concrete.

You checked the US website. As you live in Manchester, go check the international overseas website:

You will see the worldwide model has the traditional 4 knob layout.

Many LTDs are all mahagony. The ESP isn't in your pricerange anyway I think.
