How much would it cost to mail an amp head, something like the Peavey Triple XXX or Windsor head from the USA to England?

Just the shipping costs mind, not duty or anything like that, i have the percentages for those...

If anyone has any general idea on what it could be or if theres anyone i should ask i'd be glad to hear it :)

(actually, to be specific, someones buying me a windsor head for an early xmas presant, from america ofcourse)

I asked Splawn and Peters amps, both would have been around 200$.

Hmm, thats about the same price of the amp! looks like she'll have to buy it over here... oh well.

I wouldn't buy an amp from the States because of the voltage differences. It's only worthwhile for expensive amps like a Mesa Boogie. Your best bet is to buy from Germany.

depends on the amp, i'd say. some of them have voltage selectors, and if you're really stuck you could just get a transformer, i guess.

I got a Sovtek Mig 50w shipped over from the states once, shipping was only about $75 if i remember correctly, and it came through perfectly... i've still actually got the packaging here, as it'll be good for shipping something else in! Wish i still had the amp though :(

(obviously, because the amp was 50w, it was slightly lighter than it's 100w counterparts would be)
