I just ordered a set of slowhands for my strat.
I have been GASing for these for over a year and finally (without the wife looking) ordered a set.
Just to indulge my spending a bit more and my laziness I ordered a whole wired pickguard set.
I do have a question for Tim though.
Does the Slowhands come with bevelled top magnets and if so does this effect the tone of pickups or not?
I prefer the look of bevelled as it gives a nicer vintage vibe but I have no idea if this is a fashion thing or function thing.
If anyone has an idea plaese feel free to fill me in.
My strat is the one one the left and it has always felt a little too bright to the point of thin sounding. Its an ash body with Maple neck so this was always a little to be expected but still.....
I have put an Irish tour in the bridge and that fixesd the thin weak sound but man, its ear piercing bright!!
Hopefully the slowhands will fix the thin sound and give me a fuller sound to boot.
My sons guitar, the one on the right, sound so much more rounded and easier on the ears.
