also could do with a new dining table and chairs...

If you want a dining table, you may want to contact Mr 13 String Superbass  :P

If you're after a dining room table, this bloke lives near me.  I keep seeing his work in wood working books.  Damn good with wood and a top bloke to boot....Bloody expensive though.

Advice worth what you just paid for it.

hmm actually a thru-neck sg is also a great idea, as the main complaint I've heard about sg's is the "weak" neck joint. If you could also make it so its not neck heavy and with a strap button on the top horn like Iommi, I'd buy one :)

thats pretty much the idea on the sg.  Its actually going to have a flush mounted dunlop strap lock button on the upper and a normal dunlop one on the base of the guitar.  going for a longer scale length as well but it all should balance nicely.  Trans black finish with dogear nickel BKP-90's

I do moan about sg's a lot but its not the shape i dislike at all - its just the way gibson makes them that bothers me

Oh, and it will have a 24 fret neck but it will be reinforced with a tweo way truss rrod and dual carbon fibre bars running the length of the neck  - - -  so although its quite a long neck it will be plenty stable

Looks really great WezV, although I would prefer the body to be a bit brighter, it seems a tad dark with the dark neck.

It is quite dark but i think it suits the look. also its trans black so it will be more see through in brighter light

here are some more pics

i would take photos of the back but i will need to clean it first - obviously the satin finish really wants to show fingerprints!!!

So its strung and wired and sounds excellent, I am not liking the bridge pickup for clean stuff but what it lacks the neck pickup more than makes up for - and both sound ecellent with the gain cranked

i wont get chance to set it up properly till friday because i am off to amsterdam for a few days

I don't think it's to dark in the new pics, so I guess it was because of the lightning it looked dark.  :)

Seriously I shall commission you to make a rocking P90 with a long scale neck and neck through. As soon as I graduate and get my first teaching job that is...

That looks amazing with everything on! I think the dark colour is fine. It kinda reminds me of Ibanez sz-series, but nicer. With an aged silver strat-style hardtail bridge it'd look even better but thats just my personal preference. I need one of these guitars!

Outstanding. Really  :D

And the finish really makes the spalt look gorgeous. Great  work on the inlay btw  :)

Lovely. One thing that puts me off a lot of custom guitars is that they're a bit too shiny and new-looking; this looks like something one of the orcs from Lord of the Rings would play. Love it.
