Today I found the dream!

With my band making a lot of progress even before we've done a gig, we want to go into the studio to record a song as our Guitarist's brother is something of a Music Video wiz, and we need a decent recording of a song for a video he's doing for us.

So, I grabbed my Nailbomb loaded Warlock and headed to my local Axery. I tried out some beefy amps, a Diezel, Mesa, and a Soldano. They all sounded nice but left me a little underwhelmed. Then I tried a Randall V2 and I was blown away!

On top of the normal channel EQ for the overdrive channel, it also has a graphic EQ, obviously add to that the presence and depth knobs and it's one hell of a versatile piece of kit. It didn't take me long to dial in a sweet spot and I just couldn't stop riffing!

Seriously, if anyone has a Randall dealer nearby and you want to pair your Nailbomb / Miracle Man / Warpig with something that is going to melt faces and make people poop their pants through down-tuned chuggage, the Randall V2 is the beast to go for.

I just need to work my butt off so I can buy one now, heh!

Anyone else got any good BK / Amp combo's they want to share?

I always wondered about the Randall V2, since the power amp section is 1 tube and then mosfets (I think)

the power amp section is in or is going to be in the G3 series as well

I'm not much of a techie when it comes to amps, but it almost singed my eyebrows off at below quarter volume so I'm happy, hehe. What a sound!
