Hi All

Bin doing some more recording with the GWC and it still makes me smile everytime I plug the wee fella in :)

Its one of the rhythm tracks and most of the leads on this track which i am still working on the mix of... so if you reckon there's anything glaringly wrong then let me know!

Cheers

Cheers for the compliments - I've been kicking this low D riff around for a fair while, finally got it recorded. :) GWC was just my shorthand for Geoff Whitehorn Crawler...but guitar with Crawler works just as well! :)

On this track its my JCM800 run through a demonizer pedal set flat and then straight into the desk... doesnt quite emulate the sound from the amp, but best way I have found to get the best tone into the desk.

Brilliant track! F**K yes! Is the crawler more mid heavy then the RY or Holy Diver?

thanks fella  -  i replied to your pm regarding setup. I cannot comment on crawler compared to either of the other pickups unfortunately, but I'm sure some of the guys around her can help :)

Cheers

The Crawler is one of the middy-est pickups in the BKP range. Probaly the middy-est of them all.

Would it be true to say the RY has more upper mids, the HD more low mids and the Crawler more, er, mid-mids?  :?

Or is that complete and utter bollox?

I've been using 'em for like a month now with this kind of level of gain (look at the vid)  http://www.myspace.com/lastpay
and they take it really well, retaining great definition and bite through the gain but with two extra-balls in the mids that the 498T just didn't have!! Love them!
I started my own record label.
It's called Stand Out Records.
