depression.. has anyone suffered?

I think everyone can feel depressed from time to time. I've had low points and high points in my life too. I think it's down to the human condition as someone pointed out already. Spending time with friends and laughing is a great way to lift spirits.

I have SAD which is seasonal affective disorder, which means whenever the sun's not out i feel like suicide, lol. I'm having counselling which sucks...

Have you tried using a light-bath to offset the effects of lack of sunshine.

I got one a long time back , because although I don't actually suffer from SAD , my old workshop had no windows and I never saw much daylight during working hours and I wanted to offset that
Much better in my new place as I have natural daylight

i did consider one of those, but I'm yet to be convinced that it'd help enough to justify the price of the one I was recommended by the doctor which was around £300.
I'd far rather put that kind of money toward one of your guitars ;)

I think that i get depressed by bad vibes more than an actual lack of sunshine, and i don't see how a box emitting fake light would cheer me up. I could be very wrong though

I found that using "daylight" bulbs evened things out a bit, plus theyre considerably cheaper than 300 quid

In the past they have evened out my wintertime blues.
