Whoooaahh, super fight on December 8th!!
I've been on holiday for the past 2 weeks and have been reading in the papers how this fight has developed, it's going to be a real good one i think. Both undeafeated and both faced big fighters.
I watched Mayweather against De La Hoya earlier this year (why i stayed up till about 5am in the morning to watch this i don't know) which was supposed to be the fight of the century or something but it was pretty boring, and i don't think Mayweather should have won anyways.

Hatton just keeps getting better, his bodyshots are unbelievably powerful, though Mayweather is so fast and especially with Hatton moving up weight to fight Mayweather i think Hatton has his work cut out. But no doubt i want Hatton to win as Mayweather is a c--ky shite!!

Also in boxing news, Evander Holyfield is getting a shot at a world title after his massive comeback aged 44, should be interesting too.

Taken from his website: "Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield will fight Sultan Ibragimov on Oct. 13th in Moscow, Russia for the WBO World Heavyweight Championship."
"This fight was put together in quite quickly after Ruslan Chagaev (WBA heavyweight champ) dropped out of a fight, on the same date with Ibragimov, due to an unspecified stomach ailment."

Also Joe Calzaghe vs Mikael Kessler, another big fight coming up, looking good for boxing at the moment considering all the bad press it has had in recent years.

Any other boxing fans looking forward to the fights coming up soon?

Not me, its cheaper and easier to watch the creatures that frequent the local pub beat the cr@p out of each other.

Also theres the happy thought that some of them won't survive

I don't know it will be close again i think, i want him to win, Calzaghe is looking good, but i hear Kessler is real good even if he is not that well known compared to others that Calzaghe could have fought in that weight division.

Thats some great news Joe, I used to be totally into boxing.

I have to say though that Floyd Mayweather has the best boxing skills I have ever seen and it would be an upset for him to lose to Hatton even tho I too dislike his arrogance. Who knows what could happen tho Hatton is a hard puncher and gave an amazing performance in his last fight.

Joe Calzaghe vs Mikael Kessler could be an interesting one, I think calzaghe should edge this becuase of his superior hand speed and boxing skill. Kessler seems like a slugger to me.

anh one watch mixed martial arts here like pride bodog or ufc??
though i hear some boxin types dont like mma.....

Yeah i've seen UFC and MMA stuff, i like it, and Pride too, everyone seems to say Pride has better fighters but i can't remember the reason why.
It's good but like a bad boxing match it can just be a clinch fest and nothing much happens like when they take them down and just sit on them for the rest of the round. Sometimes the refs are a bit shite too and either let it go too far or stop it prematurely, they need experience in there considering they are nearly fighting bare knuckle, i can't see those tiny gloves doing much to protect. But it is great entertainment and they have some real talent in there.

Haha again i want the 'people's favourite' to win because everyone loves Holyfield, one of my favourite fighters of all time too, and all the heavyweight champs are russian or something like that. But i think it's too early in his come back to start fighting the best heavyweights and getting a title shot, could be a bad move, because he wouldn't be fighting him unless the other guy hadn't have pulled out.
