New guitar day! (strat)

Yes this is just a copy of what I posted on HC but I thought not everyone here looks over there so here it is for you to see!



Took ages to finally get a neck I'm happy with for it but its finally done, thanks to Ben (TO)! I'm loving the sound of singlecoils at the minute, these are a set of BG Pickups vintage 60s which sound really good, I got them from http://www.norcalguitars.com (note to mods, if you want me to take down this link due to advertising other brands then let me know and I'll remove it..)

I dont know what else to say other than I'm really pleased and strats rawk :)

edit - there is actually 1 minor issue, the g string pings when played open, is this a setup issue, or do I need to add another string tree?

Anyone want to give a good enough reason why I need both a Strat AND a Tele?

Teles look cool, thats reason enough :P

I think that tele bridge pickups are meant to have more punch and power, but I've never really compared the two. I still want a tele as well  :roll:

My tele bridge pickup is really thin, all the meat is in the neck single coil. And it is hella meaty. Gar I want a hardtail strat.

Nice one, Tom.  :D   I like the black parts on the white scratchplate too, that's what I have on my Strats.

Where's the neck from, a Mex Fender or an old US one?  And are those Sperzels on there?

Reasons?  Who needs reasons?  But they do sound completely different.  I normally prefer Teles, but I'm really into my Robert Cray Strat at the moment.

Unfortunately being a poor student without a band and many guitars already justifying another guitar to my otherwise lovely but electric guitar hating girlfriend is very difficult. Meh, I'll wait.

Its off a MIM roland-ready I believe. Feels great, I much prefer this flatter radius to the old '57 style :D They are just the stock fender tuners I think.
