Sounds cr@p.

Just kidding! I loved it! Tone is nice, would love to hear it through a big amp.

And I love the Bad Seamstress Blues/Falling Apart At The Seams style slide playing. (You can't get that one by a child of the 80s, man!!!!)

Superb clip in both playing and tone there Steve. I'd been considering HDs (or Rebel Yells) for my SE Singlecut for a while now, and that clip definitely helped me decided in favour of the HDs. Top stuff!

Thanks very much. It was very easy to set the tone for this little demo, set the Tonelab  to JCM2000 mode a little eq and the tone was good to go. Cant wait to record proper with it and really tweat the tone, got the perfect track as well.

I was definitely surprised I don't like digital modlers as I don't believe it gives proper tone of pickups but this was very wel executed. Grt job.

I totally agree with your comment about digital modelers. I would love to record at home with my valve head but its just not possible. But out of all the modelers i have tried the Vox Tonelab has a great tone. But it will never be like the real thing.

curious when playing the HD you said it is warm. I have a JB and what I don't like is it muddys and is very loose undefined on lower strings. Nice lead tone but overall too loose. Confused between this, RY and Crawler. I want to stay in the 16 range as far power. Also looking for something with big open 3D tone.

Love your clips Steve! every single one has been brilliant so far. I love the fatness of this clip, nice sustain to it, a real sleasy rock feel.

Its warm and deep and punchy but with loads of clarity. It does a great blues/low gain tone as well. Also i have noticed that the sustain has a real "bloom" to it, hard to describe but its like the note gets warmer the longer it is held. Tim, any idea what im talking about??

Congrats from a fellow Holy Diver user - absolutely top clip! :D  Just what this forum needed - a good rock-influenced clip of the HD rather than my rather hamfisted death/thrash/trad metal inspired efforts ;)

Holy Diver in a Les Paul does sound absolutely MASSIVE - I still laugh out loud when I unleash mine
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)
