Certainly looks like it - you can tell by the unfigured part of the maple top south of the bookmark line behind the bridge.

He didn't half have some ugly guitars in his time.
For example those weird objects they kept commissioning from Dean.

Although the stock Billy-Bo is pretty cool, this one is the bomb. Only 12 or so are made of these.

My goodness it's an unlovable mongrel
Seriously it looks OK but it would be greatly improved if it didn't look like the design was drawn on a napkin in a restaurant a-la Nigel Tufnel.

Bought this and just read it on my longhaul flight from the US back to Brussels. Billy G. rocks definitely. I still don't get how he makes so much sound with a short scale and 008 strings ...

I am happy to pay if someone can buy the magazine and post it to me.

Billy is my idol. when someone asks me to describe how I would like to sound when I play I say "listen to ZZ top.... that guy playing Lead. Thats how I would like to sound"

I even started covering a strat in fur in honour of him.( I wont subject you guys to that photo again  )

I know bro...it's unreal!

I saw them in concert about 2 years ago and he had awesome tone at the show. I was really surprised when they played "Brown Sugar. " Now talk about a song with great tone!

Yes , that issue rocked.  Billy is so genuine and laid back.  i almost just bought it to confirm the strat sounds I thought I was hearin' on some of th old tunes.   When I read it from the horses' mouth  I was like, Yes!  I knew that was a strat tone!  Anyway, I have been seeing some cool youtube live zz vids and even ran into Van Halen doing "beer drinkers and hell raisers"   at mach v!
