ISP decimator owners - in here please!

Hello (again!),

I'm intending to buy a ProRackG to quieten down my 5150-II. Not sure where to get one from - seems you can save a bundle by getting one shipped over from an E-bayer in the states: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ISP-Decimator-ProRackG-Noise-Gate-Reduction-Supressor_W0QQitemZ300145607707QQihZ020QQcategoryZ23793QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

No need for the stereo mod for me, so that would also come with a JG Junior power distribution jobby.

So, does this sound like a good idea, and, if so, what do I need to make it run properly at 230V in this country?

Alternatively, where did you lot get yours from, and would you recommend them?
I can *only just* afford it this month, cos I need to take the amp to a tech too!! :)

Cheers in advance!

Ahh bit of RTFM needed...  They don't ship the power distro device internationally, but you can get 50 dollars off the shipping costs (bascially shipping free, then!). So the question still remains, what power items do I need to get this puppy running?

Cheers!

Nice one, I've also found the ISP decimator on thomann, although it's more expensive, but they also do the stubby triangle picks I've been after for ages :)

Would the new 'Decimator G- string  ' pedal work for you ?
I have not yet seen it on sale on the 'Highly Strung' website, but it looks to have an added loop facility and yet still remain in compact pedal form.

^ that's what i'd look into if the rack version is too dear. though it could end up costing close to as much as the rack version (and may not be as good, i have no idea).

i got my decimator pedal from highly strung... good prices, and very quick delivery. i'm in northern ireland, and i think it came the following day (at very worst, the day after)... and that was free delivery... pretty awesome considering most shops try to use northern ireland as an excuse to make an extra £30 profit on postage...

Yes, I was happy with 'Highly Strung' as well. They seem to have the U.K monopoly on selling the ISP, but still keep the price way below other European suppliers - when they could charge ( almost ) what they want.

The idea that they also included first class post at the price ( on a heavy pedal ) is a great finishing touch.

As the late comedian Tommy Cooper once said :

" It's not the principle - its the money ".

Word, Dave

I got mine from Highly Strung, too. Only UK supplier (at the time anyway). Good service, too. (also an honorable mention for dawsons in manchester that found it for me)

You should buy a decimator no matter what. Essential piece of kit.

yeah, i think sounds great do them too now, but are more expensive, and also don't mention if they have free postage (they might, but if they did you'd think they'd draw more attention to it). :)
