nailbomb in single hum RR?

in hope that the jackson limited run Rhoads will take off, i already set my mind into changing the pup out
to give you an idea of the guitar, here's the mockup:

anyway, the guitar aside. i'll be playing pretty much anything with it. from full on guitar onslaught to softer things. the main tone in my head was always hard to explain.. i need a big sound, growling lows and tight palm mutes with singing heights. must be able to put out a good solo ttone out in the bridge position (not sound too thin). not to mention great mids ;)
but in short, i'm looking for a pup that will be able to do Jag Panzers Mission (1943) .. that's pretty much my main tone that i'm trying to achieve now (good thing Mr. Briody nailed it so damn good i dont need to explain further haha)

still waiting for Ben to recieve his and give it a test run, but till then, you guys think it will do me good? i want to set this in stone so i wont need to go through all this later

and what are the options at ordering? and upcharges? i'd like it in this type of the distressed cover

how do the cap head allen bolts change the sound? does it give a thicker bass? but still tight enough for a bit of a downtune here and there?

also.. if anyone would like that guitar, please hop on to the JCF forum and say so.. i'd really like it to take off
(admins, if this is considered advertising, i will remove this bit)

*edit* oh yea.. forgot to mention.. i'll be playing lots of Iron Maiden with it

i've gone for a nailbomb in my EVH 5150 style axe, i was set on the miracle man but the nailbomb seems to be more versatile and cleans up well...

Good luck, i used to post on the jackson forums alot (i had 3 jacksons including a natural RR5), will dig the links out and have a look, always some good soundclips in the players bit 8)

I reckon you could get a custom build like that for cheaper than what Jackson will charge!!!!

Especially considering how much some of the re-issue EVH Charvels have gone for\were to buy new.

tried.. and granted it would be half the price of a custom shop jackson, it's still too much for me ATM .. maybe if i go set neck vs neck through it'd be cheaper, but have to get a quote first to see.

this one would be a limited import run.. bolt on, but cheap

Soon, man ... first a Cold Sweat/Trilogy set and then the Nailbomb bridge pup.
The Nailbomb is going to set me back a bit because I want to have some sick engraving done to it. :)

I liked the rhoads style project you did...
AND.. i´m still waiting for the MIRACLE MAN THRASH METAL Clip with full distortion from BEN
AHhaahAHahaHAHAHAHHAHA
I think that a Miracle man should fit your needs better, but since i know davey tastes, i guess a nailbomd will fill him better
ahahahahaha
More middle/high sound than compressed/tight bass sound.

new picture of the guitar.
that one is the limited run, but according to the J/C heads it might happen next year, or never.

contacted Laz Gajic about having a custom guitar made, which should look like this:

i hope this one takes off and i can pay for it.
keep your fingers crossed guys =)

I think the single HB King V or RR shape looks wicked cool!
You sure you don't want an H-H config, tho?
You can always get neck HB rout later, tho, now that I think about it.

i's your fault it's a single hum ;)

kinda after the KISS (keep it simple stupid) aproach.. look vise. after talking to Zerb, i'm thinking of later putting in an afterburner and try that out for maximum overkill.

and yes.. if i ever feel like a single HB aint cutting it anymore, i can always get a neck route.
but i feel that a neck bucker takes away from the coolness factor =P
